At the Cole Foundation, we are reminded every day that exceptional care goes far beyond medicine. It’s about kindness, compassion, and being there for someone when they need it most.
We recently received a heartfelt donation through our Honor Your Caregiver Program in recognition of Dr. Michael Nowicki, whose dedication to one patient left a lasting impression.
When an unexpected emergency brought Dr. Nowicki into work on his day off, he didn’t hesitate to help. What followed was a week of extraordinary care, including weekend visits, morning and evening check-ins, and even personally wheeling his patient to a CT scan.
That simple act of kindness meant more than he may ever know.
His grateful patient shared:
